手执明灯寻自由，

你在我中隐帘后；

天音依稀传耳畔，

“我在你中欲何求！”

 Then to the rolling Heav'n itself I cried, Asking, 
 "What Lamp had Destiny to guide
 Her little Children stumbling in the Dark?"
 And--"A blind Understanding!" Heav'n replied.

泪眼迷离问上苍：

民陷黑暗失方向，

引向正途施何法？

“盲人瞎马是良方！”
