    dictionary.com上面这样解释：

    run over, 

    a. to hit and knock down, esp. with a vehicle: She cried inconsolably when her cat was run over by a car.  
    b. to go beyond; exceed: His speech ran over the time limit.  
    c. to repeat; review: We'll run over that song again.  
    d. to overflow, as a vessel.  

    所以，字面解释是：站在马路中间的人会被车撞到。

    引申义可以是：螳臂挡车？？ （我也不确定呀）
